Global Competitiveness Index 4.0

The World Economic Forum (WEF) conducted a global competitiveness index study. Within this framework, WEF, as the organization that has been setting the benchmarks of long-term global competitiveness for 40 years, aims to be a compass for economic administrations when announcing the new "GLOBAL COMPETITIVENESS INDEX 4.0". Within the 12 pillars (institutions, infrastructure, ICT adaptation, macroeconomic stability, health, skills, product market, labor market, financial system, market size, labor market dynamism and innovation capacity), fundamental development problems such as the functioning of institutions continue to pose obstacles to global competition.

"World Economy

Not prepared for the 4th Industrial Revolution!"

Out of the 140 economies measured, 103 countries scored 50 or below out of 100, indicating that their innovation capacity is in trouble, negatively affecting their competitiveness. Singapore (85.6) is the most prepared country in this regard, followed by Luxembourg (79.0) and the USA (78.3).

Turkey in particular:

Turkey ranks 61st out of 140 countries in terms of competitiveness. Which method should be adopted and which approach should be taken in order to be at the top of this ranking?

"The power of competition is efficiency,

digitalization is the key to efficiency."

Supplier - Partner

In the systems obtained with a supplier approach, you cannot go beyond having a vehicle that you do not have a driver's license. Monitoring the digitalized production area alone is not enough. Solutions positioned on the field without determining the goals, road map, needs and process-specific adaptations cannot produce the desired added value.

The partnership approach needs synchronization in line with the same goal. Actions should be taken in line with the targets with the data obtained from the production site. For this synchronization, the system and multiple qualified system users are needed. A good partner should provide the training that will turn the data of the system into profit. With its experience, it should be able to adapt the needs of its customer to the system, position itself correctly in the production area and provide guidance.

Digital transformation reshapes every aspect of a business. As technology continues to evolve, successful digital transformation must be tailored to the specific needs of the business and include 360-degree planning and the roles of departments. Digital transformation has evolved from a trend to a central component of modern business strategy. In a partnership approach, trainings and practices that support this transformation are positioned as a primary need, not a necessity.

The functions that companies need can be listed as MES reinforcement, process data and performance analysis, maintenance management, time and continuity management, statistical process control, quality assurance, document and product management, product tracking and log, supplier management.

It is important to be able to integrate their needs with different software solutions through MES hardware in the production site. Document management, approval processes, quality processes, etc.

Being a part of the solution in all the processes needed and maintaining this is possible with organizations that have partnership awareness.

The right information is obtained with the right partner. Losses are turned into gains, competitiveness in quality and price increases, and new markets are opened.
