What is Autonomous Care?

  • Autonomous literally means self-sufficient, all actions that can be done without being dependent on someone else.
  • Autonomous care starts with seeing the problem (learning to see it) and aims to improve it in order to solve (standardize) the problems permanently.
Autonomous Maintenance Steps
Step 1: Check Cleanliness
  • Ensuring workload balance
  • Evaluation from the perspectives of zero accident, zero failure, zero error, zero stoppage
  • Visual control utilization efficiency review
Step 2: Develop Countermeasures
  • Ensuring workload balance
  • Evaluation from the perspectives of zero accident, zero failure, zero error, zero stoppage
  • Visual control utilization efficiency review
Step 3: Create temporary standards
  • Ensuring workload balance
  • Evaluation from the perspectives of zero accident, zero failure, zero error, zero stoppage
  • Visual control utilization efficiency review
Step 4: Perform a General Check
  • PUKÖ cycle implementation
  • Performing daily checks
  • Providing machine-equipment trainings
Step 5: Autonomous Maintenance
  • Ensuring workload balance
  • Evaluation from the perspectives of zero accident, zero failure, zero error, zero stoppage
  • Visual control utilization efficiency review
Step 6 Standardize
  • Standard business criteria
  • Use of molds, jigs and measuring instruments
  • Data recording standards
Step 7: Total Autonomous Management
  • Standard business criteria
  • Use of molds, jigs and measuring instruments
  • Data recording standards
TPM (Total Productivity Maintenance), a component of autonomous maintenance that adopts a prevention rather than troubleshooting approach, aims to create a company culture that will maximize the efficiency of the production system.
With this system focused on respect for people, operators are of great importance in production activities and teamwork.
In order for the maintenance work to be efficient and effective, TPM Team employees must have certain roles.

In order for the maintenance work to be efficient and effective in order for the production lines to produce without interruption and with minimum loss, the TPM Team employees must have certain roles.
  •  Clean and organized
  • Knows the equipment used and the product produced
  • Knows the equipment and the product well
  • Clean equipment
  • Cleaning, lubrication and periodic controls
  • Recognizes problems with products or equipment
  • Able to perform repairs and replacements within the scope of his/her authorization
  • High level of skills and knowledge & open to development
  • provide suggestions and take an active role in improvement activities
  • Protected from possible work accidents and reporting risks
  • that can be protected from occupational accidents and report risks
The fact that they have the majority of such characteristics will create a positive impact for improvement activities.

Operators are responsible for equipment maintenance to prevent equipment loss.
